celebrating music

being 15

15, for me was the point in my live where i started to define my own path, making decisions alone and being responsible for my acts. We start to change a bit, from that little girl that want to play and have fun all the time, to somebody more seriously (that still play and have fun all the time), but we start to think more like a woman, following our own natural changes.
Fernandinha turned 15 the first week of august, and she remands me so much of my self. Fun, happy, hippie and a little shy sometimes, her beauty made those shots special.
Her cousin Michele came along with us, and we can see easily the special connection those girls have, remainding us of those friends, that with this same age, we made a while back, and we know, we are going to keep those bounds forever.
Here is to friendship and being 15.

a family thing

Last month my parents were here (from Brazil) on vacation, they only stayed for 15 days, but we tried to enjoy every moment together as much as we could, specially with vitor (my son, their first grandchild, so you imagine...) between going shopping and enjoying the pool, I was able to go out with them and doing this photo shoot, and it was more than just fun, it was inspirational. Knowing that even after years of marriage, they still have the same smile, the same caring touch, and that loving look on their eyes, and believe me, they still get surprised by each other.

the beginning

Well, I'm new to this blog thing, but no where better to start then from the beginning. "A wedding", the start point of a life together, here are some shots of Marcela and Gustavo's party. They got married in a private ceremony in the island of Maui Hawaii (i wish i was there), it was beautiful. But after they got back, all they want to do was get their friends together and celebrate. They chose the Fayerweather Yacht Club of Fairfield CT, a perfect place for this "water loving" couple. Best wishes for you Ma and Guga and hope the family gets bigger soon!
